Where Can You Watch It: YouTube (it’s kind of grainy but it adds to the experience).

Before they reignited the now never-ending spark that is Doctor Who, Russell T. Davies and Christopher Eccleston teamed up for a 2003 two-part ITV miniseries called ‘The Second Coming’. You can probably guess what the narrative entails, there are no prizes for assuming that through the title, in fact, there are absolutely no prizes at all for anything on this page ever. The best I can offer is that The Second Coming is not exactly what you’d expect. That’s some prize.

Jesus (c.2003).

For some reason, probably my sins, I studied Theology at University, so I am well acquainted with apocalyptic narratives. I even did a module about Christian film, which, surprisingly, didn’t put me off watching films altogether.

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys really, really bad, completely biased, religious rhetoric laden films with unimaginative and dated storylines that distinctly lack any kind of innovation, then here is a list of films you should absolutely watch:

  • Left Behind (Nicholas Cage version)
  • Left Behind, 1, 2 and 3 (Kirk Cameron version)
